What the Heart Says About Love
Even if you hate the world, I wouldn’t agree if you will say that you never felt something special for someone at one point in your life. There could have been at least a moment in your life that your heart beat faster than the usual upon seeing your dream guy or girl. Attraction is a part of the human nature and this is shown in many ways.
Heart, the symbol, has been the most prominent symbol for love. We also have this line saying “I love you from the bottom of my heart”. However, there has been no study yet that was able to provide a concrete justification it is the heart that feels or somewhat controls love. While it is true that it is the heart that reacts more than any other part of our body when we see our special someone, Biologists including cardiologists in Miami, has a different story for this.
Biology explains love as more of chemical reactions than affection or attraction. They stated that it is actually the brain that acts on this kind of feeling as the heart cannot control emotions. The reason that our heart beats fast when we get near or think about our romance lies on the chemical activities controlled by the brain.
Miami cardiologists don’t have much to comment about how this happens but here is a basic explanation: The brain transmits signals to the adrenal gland, which secretes hormones such as adrenaline, epinephrine and norepinephrine that flow through the blood and cause the heart to beat faster and stronger. The speed of heart beat was described as that after you worked on the treadmill or running.
However, this fact is not good for those who have serious heart problems. In other words, love can be dangerous in a way. When heart rate goes up, the heart uses more oxygen which can be risky for an old person with blood vessel blockage or that who had prior heart attack. Though at some point if you would listen to it closely, the statement saying that love is dangerous to people with heart problem sounds not so good. Because if that will be the case then it like they are deprived of the most important ingredient of life. With this we will realize that heart really has nothing to do with what someone feels for another person. It might have touched a part of it but never has it been the primary control.
